The Basement Bar is an underground hideaway, decorated with paintings by the acclaimed Irish artist Solus and tales of “Dead“ Rob Rich to give visitors a taste of Limerick character. There is an air of something left from the old world untouched by time. Many bottles of golden brown spirits glisten on the old oak shelves set on rough-cut stone and red brick walls. Flames flicker in the hearth of the open fire sending a warm glow across the floor. Sitting here in the low-lit snug a sense of time melts away while the warmth of the fire and whiskey embraces you.  

The team at Basement Bar at 101 Limerick love nothing better than sharing their vast knowledge of whiskey and plays host to be-spoke whiskey tasting events and whiskey tours.
